Just go through the motions of training them, all while looking for your next job. I've been here several decades and in the past I would have said "Xerox was good to you, so just do the right thing on the way out".

Not anymore. The times of Xerox taking care of its employees is long gone, so we should have zero cares about helping them out. Let it all burn.

Pretty amazing to be asked by our management to train our replacements knowing full well we will be laid off. Leaves one with very strange feeling. Not exactly sure how to describe as though my honor is being tested while feeling taken advantage of at the same time.

I am a soon-to-be-unemployed worker that will have to train my replacement. A few foreign workers with H1-B visas will be at corp for 5 weeks starting 11/4 to learn the ropes, then return to their home country to train the rest of the workers.

Lotus Notes? Are they that stupid? Why did they use Java in the production controller?

Call it a pipe dream but I’m hoping a company buys Xerox and cares about the value and contribution of the employee. Who’s wants to invest in R&D and produce products that make money. Who’s leadership thinks out of the box and doesn’t s— up to the board members. I see this as Xerox’s only hope to succeed.
Darwin Deason said in his YouTube video with Bloomberg that he has no interest in running the business. It’s all about share holder value. So you got this CEO who knows the simplest way is to cut cut cut. All he seems to know. Yet fails to realize he’s cutting off opportunities to generate revenue by destroying the companies reputation and letting valuable talent go. Where is the leadership in that? This CEO will run this company into the ground unless we are sold to a promising buyer with a solid VISION. Not words like technology powerhouse!

Many will fail to see it, ever. Caught by mgmt “we are keeping the brains”, “you provide a critical function” and my favorite “when the time comes, you will be rewarded” lies, it’s tragically sad to witness.

No, we don’t. Our core has been in the sh–ter since Xerox got their hands on us.
