Confirmed several in 851 4th floor were let go this morning. A few were a surprise while the others should have been let go back in 2016.

Can we use a better word? I have to say there's something about that word "culling" just sounds inappropriate and inhumane. Not a word I use in my vocabulary i looked it up and here's definition:
" reduction of a wild animal population by selective slaughter" or "the action of sending an inferior or surplus farm animal to be slaughtered"
working at HQ, i have first hand knowledge of people who have been let go throughout the year confirming it's happened in (1 or 2, here or there).
Citrix, like other public companies, has had many layoffs. To my knowledge, none have been close to the holidays (they usually don't do anything significant beyond October).
Citrix packages are very generous and often include outplacement services and other benefits. They try to treat folks who are laid off as decently as is reasonable.
With Citrix Systems Stock Climb of 12.8% in October and currently at the highest level ever, a 'huge layoff ' is very unlikely to happen in December , the company will probably hire some new people
There was a huge layoff last year right before Christmas. This isn’t fake news, this is reality at Citrix.

packages are based on your title. directors , sr. directors, VP, SVP are provided with a standard package of benefits and money (lump sums plus money for each year of employment) that is defined by the HR
