Aggressive micromanaging of the over 50 folks. Telling them pretty much they won’t get a good rating cause it will be “harder” with no specifics. . Plus little meaningful raises or promotional opps. Profiling.

Too many managers acting like coaches and “ accounting” and budget gurus making way too much for what they do is NOT cost saving

The biggest cost cutting I've noticed? They laid off all the peope who knew what they were doing, and turned the ship over to entry-level newbs who take 3 times longer and make 3 times as many mistakes. I'm not sure it's really a cost savings in the end.

Managers don't do anything with the people who are worthless. They just move them to another jobs.

The next five years is going to tell the story. The workforce today is not the workforce of the 1980s. They are betting on it and they will lose badly. Wait a time with patience! If a motors torque range is 1000 rpm to 1500 rpm and you run it at 3000 rpm, it's gonna blow. All I can say is don't let them take your health.

Maybe they should cost cut big salaries, perks and travel and conferences and meetings. Not TP. (1 ply)

We lost a lot of great people to the cost cuttings. Tipsturd left us with less people, less knowledge and less of an incentive to stress out by trying to go above and beyond. It’s all a numbers game now. It’s all about volume. And never mind that the tools they use to measure our numbers don’t work the way they’re supposed to. And never mind about the numbers in general . The numbers don’t mean anything anyway. They’ll write the story the way they want it to read irregardles if the numbers support their story or not.

The only thing those numbers represent is a bunch of meaningless high fives from one manager to the next when they take credit for the work you’ve done. Oh they’ll be sure to say something To you in passing probably a few small words of praise as long as nobody else is in earshot. Your praises will not be recorded but your failures will be,

What they keep ignoring is that we don’t care about praise, we care about money. We care about being able to keep our kids warm and safe in the winter and have food in the cabinets That’s why we work here so we can pay our bills.

Morale is at an all time low. Want to know a secret to quickly boosting morale ? Money is a great motivator. Yes it may seem a bit Counter productive to spend money on the little people when you just let a lot of us go but trust me In the long run it will be worth it.

We cut about 30% of our department's salary and probably 80% of our knowledge. A good percentage of the best people left during the structure study, and more have followed this year.

I hear ya. If not one of the gang and work hard despite does not matter. My Manager gave me zero specifics and does NOTHING but acts like a jerk
To me and others. He must not be dispensable at his 6 figure salary. He needs to
Learn the actual work and do
Some. Yep. Been on same situation. It’s a show.

Telling them pretty much they won’t get a good rating cause it will be “harder” with no specifics...yep that's what I was told, worked my butt off to stay a 3, but no I went down to a 2. My TM said remember I told you last year it would be harder to get a 3, that I had to do just a little bit extra and never once said what that "extra" was supposed to be. I questioned them, said I was always in the green, always met my numbers, never brought escalated calls to them...so on and so for and now they are pulling that extra thing on me, said that was news to me because I didn't remember that. And never once during the year's worth of one x one's it was never mentioned.

They then said it was because one of my team mates said I wasn't approachable, so what does that have to do with job performance I asked and why was I never given a chance to defend myself? They didn't have a good answer for that....because it was just bull poo, but they were going to count that against me.

They then said it was because none of the managers knew me, like so what,my numbers should of spoke for themselves, my TM said they did their best to get me my 3 but.....I guess I didn't kiss enough behind?

They also told me that they needed to justify why our office got more 3's than another office, I said because it could be we are a more experienced office???? they didn't have an answer for that one. But all of the above was why they couldn't give me a 3 again.

Does any of the above even make sense?...such bull poo.

After that I just gave up and walked out with my 2 which should have been a 3, do you think I was angry?? Just a tad and SF wonders why claims get handled they way they do? You don't treat people like that.

So that is my experience in cost cutting, me, they cut my cost because well you know why not. It made sense to not give me a 3, I was just too expensive.

I would have say postage as with a million or more policies cancelled they have saved a ton on postage and paper. Other than can’t think of much else.

I second that. Too many managers who haven't been in our shoes. And don't have the knowledge to answer most questions. Their best answer is "use your resources"
