HR outing Whistleblowers

How many of you have had any experience with HR exposing 'whistleblowers' to your N1, N+2, etc.?

HR only serves to protect management....you have been warned. Even 'taking ownership' is aimed to putting responsibility firmly on staff and not management...a lot of staff at Schlum are batshit stupid because they believe all this responsibility/ownership c-ap.

That's why you go through the ethics hotline and NEVER reveal your identity. You can follow up on your report and even chat with HR. The HR reps will try to get you to "come in for an interview." DON'T DO IT. It's a tactic for them to figure out who you are. There is no reason why the information a whistle blower provides can't be anonymous either over the phone or through a written report. Schlumberger HR does not act in good faith towards employees. They only care about protecting the company and their bottom line.

Never mention anything to HR especially in confidence as they will pass on the information and will never, never, never support you. They only work for themselves and are explicitly there to protect management. They are experts in changing the size of the baseball field. You have been warned and this is all from personal experience and from other employees I have known. Snakes in the grass are more trustworthy.

I haven’t seen it explicitly, but what I have seen is a clear break away from HR being employee advocates to being P&L owners for the compensation line. That would lend itself to the types of things you mention.
