It's ten times easier to find a job when you already have one than when you're already out on your a**. Remember that, folks.

all the hr types on this board telling people to hang around with fear mongering
People will do and have hired those from UP and will continue to do so. Most often if you are willing to work, you will be hired. The job market is good.
U got two options a) take stress leave and use it to find another job b) go back on your seniority if you have it and lay-off sick as much as needed for interviews. By the time u go into investigation for attendance you’ll be at your next job. C) I lied there’s a third option. Keep working at Union Pacific and hating your life lol 😂

It's also hard to find a job when your pulling 70 hours per week for a month straight because you have to cover the territory of the manager who quit/took vacation. This is all supposed to be more "efficient". What a joke.
@kms I found a job relatively easily. Having a marketable college degree and non-railroad experience in an in-demand field helped. I used vacation time and the long hours waiting for T&T (and UP's internet) to link up with recruiters and attend interviews. I found a great position in less than three weeks from the time I started looking. It's hard but it's not impossible.
Good Luck to any UP managers !!! Lol
Prospective employers will not bring in the people who are running the worst company to work for in the USA .
They don’t want that toxicity in their organization.
You should’ve left sooner, because now you have the UP stink all over you.
