Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Don't trust GE

When I was young I calculated my long term funding for my older years . Was not counting on GE changing the rules when I got older . My advice don’t trust GE

Everybody needs to remember this moving forward. I think GE has managed to destroy that little goodwill it might have still had with some employees. This company is done.

Wellcome Trust, a London foundation with assets of more than $33 billion, sold their 24 million shares of GE stock. Where's the love? And confidence?

I work for GE still. I plan on being part of the solution and help turn this around. Agree with Apple comment they were in same spot and look at them now. Have faith we will make this work. Doesn’t hurt to be positive please. GE will be great again. Larry is the right leader!

It’s time for a class action law suit against GE. I hate litigation but when the top leaders financially rape the company and expect us to be their beast of burden. I say hell no. It would be different if the leaders didn’t use two private jets for travel convenience. Not to mention endless exotic boondoggles. Oh, I’m sorry, disguised as important business. The waste of money from GE leadership is mind numbing. Now they want our money while they enjoy many $Millions.

IMO, GE tried desperately to prop up their stock thru buybacks to try to get a major investment firm on board. I think we know who. Buffett sold all his stock, made a fortune, and never looked back. Two Jets found a buyer to make the "sure bet" to replace the void. Major losses happened that will take years to get back. Was there deceptive practices involved? I can't say. But most, if not all, will be more careful I am sure.

Ridiculous post. You parents, friends, manager, anyone should have told you not to trust your employer. Just like your career, you own your retirement and your life.
