I read in a few places on tn this site that Atlanta could be hit hard. People even mention the number of over 100 conductors that would be cu at the beginning of November. I know that, while in “rumor territory” these numbers tend to be exaggerated , but that doesn’t change the fact that something really big could go down. Any more precise info or rumors about this?

Well it's no surprise. Norfolk Southern is going to change carmen to utility carmen, pay them 75 cents more an hour and make them take a book of rules test then allow them to work under the 3 step plus switch tracks and follow the train with any issues because in 2021 they're going to single man crew. Juniata and Roanoke are going to see more layoffs probably by the end of the year.
And I thought it couldn’t get any worse!
Peaceful protest it is!!
NS is a joke. They are a terrible employer, take care of people and they will take care of you. Simple right?
Wonder why NS has so many derailments, injuries, late trains, FRA infractions ETC.... folks don’t want to help NS because NS is not helping them.
Screw the hedge fund they will be gone soon. I agree with the previous person protesting peacefully is a great option.
Norfolk Southern is trying to reach the goal of 60 percent. They will do whatever it takes to reach this number. You can see it in the changes that have happened already. It is going to be big, not sure of the exact number but it will be big.
If it does happen please ban together and peaceful protest as the Union will not help you.
