They begged and pleaded, ran events, gave away prizes, ALL to make sure they could claim your donations as their own, and get a huge tax break. Next year, if you're still there, and they start begging you for donations, dont give to them. Give directly to your organization. Donating charity funds through a company is a complete scam! This is why you donate to ADS and then THEY donate to nationwide children's or whatever charity you pick. They put the final donation in their name, not yours. And then they get millions in tax cuts because of it.
Next year, don't be a sheep. When they start begging for money, remember, that's all you are to them. Tax shelters and tax cuts, and they will bleed you dry so they can avoid paying taxes.

I always gave and so the part about targeting those who didn’t isn’t true. I have because I was following the company culture which now I see was a farce. They only did this to have a tax write off. They will give less bonus money out though this November as they have way less employees. You should read MM statement on the website. They let all of us go and it will save them 20 million over the long run ! Whatever. 20 million won’t save their souls.
ZERO. i work to have money, i don't give it away.
Kinda misleading. If you pay cash for one or more of their events, then you don't get the write-off. But otherwise, if you sign up as yourself and make a donation, you are the one who can claim that charitable deduction.
Post is false/misleading. Contributing thru ADS allows them to match the contribution to YOUR selected charity, which gets ALL of your donated money as well as the match from the company. I've participated for 5 years and every year receive a receipt from the charity confirming their receipt of 100% of my donation.
I'm not a fan of the company or what they are doing but this is b—s— I contributed and it was on my w-2 that would be tax fraud and they would go to prison.
