Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Honeymoon at ITC

While Chevron and and Microsoft are spinning their partnership as revolutionary and innovative, the truth is that Microsoft has Chevron by the balls, and Chevron is being forced to purchase millions of dollars in software and services they don’t really need, and frankly inferior to the products and services offered by other industry leaders with far more experience in the oil and gas industry.

Since ITC leadership has no clue how to run a technology service company, they are trying to ride on Microsoft’s coattails by assuring fleeing Horizons employees things such as “Microsoft says we are on the right track”, which is the equivalent of having a prostitute tell you she loves you, and then introducing her to your parents.

These middle management goons are are so enamored with Microsoft that they have even been telling middle managers to focus on “growth mindset” in 2020.

Guess who uses “growth mindset” as part of their corporate Culture? Microsoft!!!

There Is a lot of pragmatism in the current approach. No doubt it annoys vendors that have been making money off Chevron for a while, but Chevron is saving with Microsoft and getting a real development partner.

Microsoft 3Q19 earnings suggest the strategy isn’t working well. Hope ours are better on Nov. 1.

Practically any salesman can bamboozle their way into Chevron’s pocketbook without much effort.
