Has anybody in any other locations been hearing about another round of layoffs across the system around the first week in Nov? Will it be just mechanical or will it hit other departments too?

The management staff in Atlanta have no regard for anyone or anything. They break labor rules consistently. Derailments, Fra violations, General harassment, s-xual discrimination, racism and too much more to name. Very very bad place. They have put yes men in place that are just there to drop the hammer on employees. When VP Ferrell is done with them he will let them go. Karma. We need Union help!
Unions were made to help with work conditions, wages, jobs, and quality of life. We don’t have this! Everyone needs to band together if the Union won’t.
Peaceful protest. Will get someone’s attention
I don’t know if we can pay our union leaders as much as NS can
The railroad is not going to stop until there is one person in the cab and one extraboard to cover it.
NS is bad — we were working (real busy) not sure what is going to happen with even less people.
Not able to strike. You have no rights.
I am an LC and I suggest that all mind there P’s and Q’s.The RR Act of 1926 is 93 years old and needs to be revisited. Interested in an informal means to an end then you need to ban together. Peaceful protests are part of today’s society and are a good way to be heard. The company has rights (aka- lockout) you have none other than live with bad work conditions, poor home life, losing benefits, lost wages, lost jobs. PSR will go away don’t let it ruin the Railroad.
We are helpless. We have no bargaining power at all. It was noted that NS Ferrell stated that he does not give a “damn” about employees that his loyalty is to the stockholders. This was in a town hall meeting in ATLANTA that he said this. He has proven that all contacts are useless and that he will do what he wishes. Think about this....why wouldn’t he? There is no recourse on NS’s part. Like I said we are helpless
Good Lord will it stop already. We are already overworked and stressed about our employment. Wish our Unions could help us
Yes. Atlanta is. Going to be a bunch, we were told about 100 Conductors. I am in management and we were told to keep it hush, hush so there is no rebellion. The Railway Labor Act Of 1926 makes it unlike that you strike. This Act is 93 years old and need to be challenged. Unions are for Wages, Work Conditions, Benefits and quality of life at which you all are giving up. I say please challenge this and fight for you rights. It is going to get real bad, NS is working on getting rid of a lot.
Crickets here.
