Why are you staying? It was a sweatshop that payed me well below what I was worth, I happily gave my notice and found something better. Just curious what reasons you have.

Complacency is a terrible curse.
I was laid off in June. Coming from a family that was loyal to their employer, it was what drove me to stay. Until I got laid off, I never knew how mentally unhealthy Lenovo was. Of course I had the anxiety and shock of being laid off. I found an excellent job that will allow me to be loyal to the company I work for and the company being equally loyal to me. I talked to friends still there and they are walking away in droves. I was told they are doing workforce cost analysis to insure each team has a the correct mix of US vs China workers. In other words, if a team is more than 25% US, they will be getting rid of US workers from those teams. Rumor is announcement in early December, but not layoffs yet. This may be another "voluntary" layoff with a the real one coming in January. Although I cannot speak ill of their products or business, when I am asked by people for my opinion, I simply tell them the products I own or purchase. They can make their own assumptions from that information.
I stayed for a while thinking their benefits and vacation were good. After leaving I finally realized they were not up to industry norms. The environment for US employees is really one of the worst with continual layoffs, rankings, and executive lies. Even the execs don’t stay long. That should tell you something.
