I've worked in cold soak test at very cold temps and the battery is dead.

Second an all electric vehicle is not practical at all and the buying public dosent want to deal with the headache.

With all of the calibration currently in a regular vehicle and the fact that GM can't get ignition issues worked out is troublesome.

The regular person that wants A to B simply wants that A to B, not plugging in and unplugging a damn appliance and that want they are, maybe one day ABC Wearhouse will sell that electric vehicle.

Raw Cobalt for batteries comes from Africa, little kids dig it out of the ground, essentially slave labor, ask Mother Google!

The general public could care less about EVs, all they care about is cost and convenience and is it reliable.
My buddy at work drives a 1971 Skylark and it's reliable A TO B awesomeness!
GM and others are all about how to build a better mouse trap. Nobody cares about electric cars it's a load of c-ap.

Apparently 2mco always got a trophy.

GM doesn't solve problems or make technological leaps.

They buy companies that do, like Cruise.

The GM mothership is a stodgy old company.

It won't be GM that creates a solution for anything.

GM is going electric because of the government's push for monetary penalties for carbon emissions. There is also high government incentives and subsidies for electric cars. Auto companies have to go to electric, or go out of business.

I really do not have any position for climate change, but unless you are in your own bubble...
That buying public you are talking about, wants to see a green solution.

There is a reason why autos are moving to electric.

Are there problems with electric cars? Sure. But, society envisions a world of electric car future, just as it envisioned a world without blockbuster video stores.

Electrics won't become popular until charging stations are as common as gas stations so there's always one nearby, and you can charge the car as fast as you can fill the gas tank.

And the price needs to come down to the same as a gas car.

Until then, they'll just be toys for rich people.

No matter what electric cars are coming. Just want a simple electric car, plug in charge, no gas station, or oil changes, transmission issues. Yes I do agree tho, I just need transportation A to B, I don't enjoy driving due to all the freaking id–t's on the road plus traffic. I'd rather sit in my boat and float around the lake all day, be away from it all.
