Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Solution, why not build two products in one gigantic plant like lordstown? Example, Blazer and electric truck.

Utilize the space and eliminate the waste, build in tandom and consolidate, stop wasting the land and think of a creative solution, everyone knows that the Blazer could have been built here right along with other components, (example) the old Cadillac plant in Detroit, start to finish from foundry to completed car, the whole vehicle was made in one location, why the need for all these suppliers that GM simply can not pay? Now those same suppliers face mass layoffs because of dependance of GM, they are at the mercy of the company. GM had it right when they made everything under one roof top, management/ bean counters thought it best to farm out that work to all these suppliers to weaken unions, after all let's be honest in the old days the union was super strength and no one here can argue that fact, the leadership within the uaw and the managers of the company line each other's pockets with late night back room deals and that is no secret to anyone, all on the back of the honest worker, it's an age old practice and nothing in the news of current events is new or surprising, same old same old, just a different date in time. Apparently we as a people simply aren't getting any smarter. The people that sit way up top are very clever and know this game inside and out, they will pit us against each other at all costs because at the end of the day it's a game they enjoy to play as they walk away with millions of dollars that people have sweated for. There are solutions but they will never be implemented.

Lordstown may be very old, however they changed light fixtures to LED, 800+ solar panels on the outside as well as an electric charging station. There is plenty of land to build a new facility. Its close to the major interstates, it still provides PLENTY of opportunity.

Lordstown is very old. Not cost efficient to retool the whole place.
