Lance Fritz and his gross incompetence. He's a politician an poor one at that. UP has been on a downhill slide since he took over.
Electrical, mechanical, and welding are considered skills, keep bashing and punishing the people that keep this unmaintained junk pulling cars, that should well for you.
Looks like all the conspiracy nuts are coming out of the woodwork with their "globalists are out to get me" BS.
Yawn...
In other news, people with college degrees and/or marketable skills are doing just fine. Maybe if those of you f—ging these tired "the system is out to get me" tropes learned some new skills, you wouldn't be in the predicament that you're in, with no marketable qualifications or transferable skills other than sitting in a truck next to some train tracks in places like Man Love, NE.
You do not have to worry about them, because the system (courts, banks, and governments) has been setup by To be ran by globalists too.
Yet another railroader that can’t construct a sentence, complaining about universities.
Globalists getting control over the elite universities business schools. Teaching people to be cut throat and use people as tools and toss them.
You do not have to worry about them, because the system (courts, banks, and governments) has been setup by To be ran by globalists too.
That a great question, Jimbo, what do you think?
Lance Fritz, he's the one that hired Vena.
management is the root of the problem. they got their degree from, back stabbing university of greed, Omaha. i'm sure they take pride in whats going on and laughing at their meetings, about what everyone is saying about it. just ask one of them. I promise you he will deny it.
What the heck. The UP culture has not changed. It's been this way for many, many years. I hired on in the 90s and it has been the same. I imagine different locations have different results. However, the locations I worked were always terrible. Plus, talking to other across the system, has reinforced UP is damaging to the low man. If you experienced something different then koodos to you! Enjoy the benefits you have received.
What brought the change of culture was the ideological change in management from taking care of the employees (who know what is going on day to day) and customers (who are always giving the company money) to pleasing Wall Street and stockholders (one time payers who could careless where their return came from on their investment). Yes it’s great to make money but not at the expense of losing customers and employees (even those who don’t pull their own weight) when the end result is injuries and accidents which cost the same money that they “saved” and gave to shareholders.
They should change this website's name to www.rhetoricalquestions.com
VENA and GREED!!! Once goals are met lance will leave the sinking ship to someone else
Since when did UP ever have a culture?
Lance's back stabbing persona
Insitutional pet projects, old boy network, nepotism, indecisionmaking, promotions without merit, detatched senior leadership, bizzaro financial decisions (stock buybacks, project roi, etc) colliding with the new world realities of inability to recruit, millenial, gig economy, pension/rrb liabilities.
To name just a few
Mr Young dying and the current batch of weaklings taking over and doing whatever they're told
$$$$$$ GREED $$$$$$$
