Divestitures are coming but you have to realize the company is a lot larger than the local operations you may be involved in. Several business segments are slated for devastation but it's not the entire corporation, it's going to be select units which are not aligned with the planned corporate goals.

Well as a share holder, it is my business Hick Man, I am sure your one of the few that benefit from that project, I will pray for you and don't wish anyone to loose their job but its amazing that the customer has put up with the delays, perhaps getting a free plane is worth it if that is the case, be well my friend.
I'm sure there's a chance that Waco could be shut down. ANY L3Harris site could conceivably be shut down and consolidated with another location. But in my brilliant analysis, more like Waco would be sold off to a company which sees aircraft support as more central to their business.

Well I bet after they take a close look at Waco commercial, A M 4, they will shut that circus down. Wow and what a circus. A truck load of want to be chiefs and a handful of poor little Indians.
After the merger, L3 and Harris, the only bussiness overlap is in the night vision. Which has already been anounced for the divesture.
Go to the new L3Harris website and check out "Our Capabilities." Look around in there and see if you can find where your location fits into the new organization and its strategic priorities. One thing that doesn't seem to fit at all is anything related to aircraft modernization & upgrades... which used to be a thing on the L3T (L3, L-3) websites.

Looking at the July investor briefing (public info available on https://www.l3harris.com/investors), the company is focused on increasing profit (no surprise), specifically profit margins. Space/Airborne and Communication Systems have the highest (17.9% and 21.1%, respectively). While Aviation Systems and Integrated Mission Systems are a bit lower (9.2% and 11.6% respectively).
It looks to me like anything that isn't either tactical electronics spy equipment doesn't really align with the company portfolio.

Really? Isn't that one of their long-time core businesses? Not saying it couldn't happen but I think that they make a lot of money selling those radios and services.
