Who ever the person posting this has some insight. I was just told today we will be open on Thanksgiving Day.
no family value, let's make a buck! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Wait, they've actually told you all? A few of know because we saw an email, but they haven't actually told us sh–. Not even that we are going to be open. All the few of us know is that they haven't come out with the details yet. They have swore up and down for years, that we'd never be open on Thanksgiving. First of all, we do sh– on BF. We don't offer sh– customers don't already have so they care about coming here. And all the businesses have left my town. People go the neighboring cities for BF. We don't start to see customers stroll in until a few hours after being open. It gets as busy as any weekend during the holidays. They think it will be different? What a f—ing joke. This f—ing place stressing me out beyond belief
You guys get to volunteer? We were told to cancel our plans, it’s an all hands on deck, mandatory shift situation. No word on compensation, either.
Before volunteering I’d get the time-and-a-half statement in writing first. This is a company known for not giving any extra compensation for working overnights and regular breaks.
Our district was told this morning. Taking volunteers and paying time and a half. Store manager, who will be working, gets a comp day. Doesn’t look like we will have any problem with the schedule.
I volunteered to work on Thanksgiving. I need my job.
Still nothing here in the northeast!
Well, we were just notified and they are looking for volunteers.
Regional snd district staff won’t be working Thanksgiving and you’ll be lucky if most SM’s are along with OPs. What a joke!!
Our customers know if they beg or get angry enough they will get the 20%. We've trained them well over the years. And really what's the draw for them to shop on Thanksgiving? Oooh an additional 20% they can get anyway? We are so behind the times of what's relevant it's actually sad.
Customers gotta get that 20% off entire purchase coupon instead of bringing in all their stacks 😂😂😂
Not sure what kind of proof you are looking for as this site is intended to be anonymous sharing. Store managers already know and these are NOT just stores that have done this every year. Perhaps some areas are just faster at informing their staff. You will get word soon enough. These are facts.
Where is the proof to this? I know a few stores have to be (as they are every year-) because their lease in their mall requires it.
@116vUTGW-1peh It was announced at our morning huddles, we’re going to be open from 5pm - midnight. I suggest you ask your store manager, they already know if you’re going to be open or not.
I did not hear about being open on Thanksgiving. Do you have proof?
Maybe all the Regionals will step up and staff the stores. ?????
I don’t know how they’re going to run the stores when everyone calls out that day. They can’t fire everyone the day before Black Friday.
In the infamous words of Buzz Lightyear "You're being sarcastic aren't you??".
That’s awesome. They are always thinking about how to build up the employees morale!
