It’s amazing what can be accomplished with a full crew. Severe under-staffing is the new normal with Marvin in charge. This past Sunday we didn’t have a truck so our unload crew helped the floor associates haul out and put away all the freight still left over from last week. When we were done with that we downstocked several departments. It was like we worked at Lowe’s in the days before Marvin.
This doing more with much less so Marvin can get the stock price up really isn’t working after all.
I wish they would do this at my store. We have a very light crew most of the time; one cashier at each area, constant code 3’s, one associate per department per shift, no one to do code 50’s. Anyone wearing a red vest is set upon by customers, they are zombie like with their requests for help.
We’ve actually have customers calling out in aisles “is there anyone here?” Or calling the store on the cell phones requesting help in a certain aisle. Cashiers have started telling people to go to building materials or customer service when the lines get long.
Same thing in our store one day, no truck. All those guys on the floor helped people, and no bells or complaints.
