More Chicago Layoffs

I guess if you don't make 70% they will keep laying off until they reach there goals. It's crazy because were already short handed nobody cares about safety anymore or even working here. They rather take the layoff then come into work and mabe not go home because of a injury. But let's have a wonderful day..

Right now Chicago has TE&Y guys up to 2011 either furloughed or on the AW board. Our carloads are also down and Coleman Bell has already said that they'll have to adjust the workforce to the slower traffic for this holiday season. Global 1 is also set to close sometime in the first quarter of 2020. Coupled with the setting back of engineers, some who have been in the seat since 2010, we're looking at somewhere around everyone in the 2010 class furloughed by March of next year.

Maybe your point that nobody cares about working there is why you aren’t staying busy for less than 3/4’s of your day. It’s your job. It’s their rules. Play by them or go home. It’s quite simple.
