Yes layoffs will be coming This December now that they know the offset needed to counter losses from strike. Managers without direct reports is one of key targets as are the older folks approChing retirement.

I heard either late November or early December. Our group has been asked to calculate the savings for various headcount reduction scenarios, 5,000, 7,500, 10,000, etc. Only other time we were asked to do this was last November. From what I hear, GM wants to book the expense in 2019.

I'd like to get it over with.

Do it a few weeks before a holiday, Thanksgiving or Christmas, so I can be sad for a while, but recover by holiday time.

If I know long enough before a holiday, I won't charge up my credit cards.

If I get laid off in February, I'll still have the December spending on my credit card.

Where would you rather be, having the layoff around the holidays or having them in February like this year but you'll be qualming through the holidays?

Whether it's November or December, I hope they keep the layoff day away from Thanksgiving or Christmas so they don't ruin the holidays.

Hopefully they're better prepared this time.

The February layoffs were supposed to happen in January, but they were so screwed up the date had to keep slipping.

Hopefully the November layoffs don't become December layoffs through incompetence.

I was part of the Feb 4th Layoff, Since then I have found a better paying job (beney's not as good) and a TON LESS STRESS!!!

My new job is so much better!!!!

Get out of GM While you can!!!!

they are toxic, Very Very Toxic!

Get out and get a new job before these next round of layoffs and while the jobs are still posted!

Yeah I realize this is obvious a rumor mill, just wanting to hear some more independent rumors

You're not going to get confirmation from an anonymous rumor board.

All you can do is wait until December and see if anything happens.

IT is still bloated, and they need to sc-ape up the money to pay the strikers.
