Why Whole Foods CEO never snacks, barely drinks water and travels with a rice cooker

Behold our leader. Showing the world how the challenges of autism do not have to hold you back.

"“A plant-based diet is pretty high in water,” Mackey says, “so, the actual truth is I don’t need to drink water most of the time.”"

You do realize that the recipe for those Cheerios was changed, which is why Whole Foods started carrying them, right? Wasn’t a change in the standards, just a change in the product.

Sad, but it’s happened before. He doesn’t eat in his stores. That should tell you a lot about the food and the people he trusts to prepare it.

When he visited my store last year, the prep foods team was handed a list of dishes to prepare for him with very specific instructions on how to cook everything and what ingredients to use. It was stressed that the list had to be followed to the letter. When Johnny finally graced us with his presence, he barely ate any of it as he had "eaten at the hotel" beforehand. It was a massive amount of food, and it all ended up in the dumpster at the end of the day.

Okay, yeah makes sense. Also, I am an older tm with WFM, I remember a time when we didn't have to worry about Recalls. Our food was clean, had alot of really great organic farmers from USA as vendors. We were proud of what we sold. Even before Amazon bought us the standards began to slip away. The WFM/Monsanto thing began to disillusion our guests. Now it's another Monsanto scandal with Roundup and WFM is pretending all their products are still of the highest quality. Mackay is delusional if he really thinks he eats clean food from his stores. Just my opinion.

After reading the article I barfed in my mouth.

So Cherrios no longer contains Roundup pesticide? I know there was a huge Recall on it last year. WFM is stocking it because it is safe or the head developmental grocery guy smiled when he saw it on an endcap because they no longer have to adhere to those irritating standards?

He eats from the salad bar? With all that "Healthy" Canola oil? LOL.
Also, breakfast is for pussies. I know what I'm talking about because I was a body shaming specialist for 6 yrs...

I find it odd that he is ethically opposed to things that he has no issue profiting off of. He would not feed 99% of the food WFM carries to his family.
