Store Managers Need To Be Reviewed

I hope Elliott looks at the management team in each store before or if that decide to close any locations. Stores could be under-performing because they are led by individuals who have the people skills of burnt toast.

Our store manager will not open or close without another manager being with him. So that means we have 2 managers to open at 7 am and no mid shift managers or 2 managers closing. Why does he do that - so he spends his time looking over the security tapes to see what was done the night before, who was working, were we, god forbid, talking to anther bookseller.

They schedule in a chaotic manner- During the week they have have 8 people during the day but after 5 pm its only 3 people during the evening - counting the closing manager. 13 people schedule for a Wednesday but Friday or Saturday only 9.

Store leadership needs a drastic overall.

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

“I work in that region. Is the money miss management about when a store flooded. The money was insured. And the money was washed and hung up in one of the stores back rooms. And the employees were told not to speak about it? Five people told me of this happening in that store.”

Wow ! What made him think the employees would “keep their mouths shut” ?

“What did they do in KY/NC/TN?”
I work in that region. I will be purposely vague-business deals with local publishers , personal info of others shared, money mishandling and more.

The District Manager in New England has a long history of abusing managers and employees and firing good people for not doing her dirty work. She's also had her team of witches get rid of older workers who were great and had a lot of book knowledge. I'm shocked the company hasn't been sued because of her.
She should've been fired decades ago!
