Claim depression and stay protected under workers comp getting paid to be at house. This company learned nothing in 2016

I quit today on principle as last time I made till March 2016 and all the non-oilfield jobs were taken up. Be the first, not last to go!!!

Got layed off on the 16th. I was a new hire, on my last day of training. Didn't even make two weeks lol. They layed us all off. The group that was hired a week before us also got the ax. No severence pay fur us. What I didn't understand is that they invited us to apply for open positions in San Antonio(wireline, coil tubing). I figured frac would be the last to lay people off. They didn't layoff any of the new cement guys either.

Are you actually laid off when they dismantle your crew or are you placed somewhere else? You might want to stick it out and see what happens.

Stay! Get the severance pay if they're giving it out and then unemployment. If you leave early you're just screwing yourself unless you have a better job lined up.
