Curious to hear if anybody who has had experience in working on or with the McKinsey and BCG digital projects... Got any improvements in how you work yet?

It’s mostly a waste of time. It’s another numbers game, just like other stupid quota based initiatives the company has had over the past years. If that’s what they want, go along and give it to them, then get back to real work.
I want to preface this with my honest belief that there are some stellar IT people I know who just deliver what the business units really need.
What's funny is that thanks to "digital" initiatives, we now have a bunch of IT losers who have historically not brought the company any value at all... and have now hopped on this digital bandwagon, throwing buzz words around, and pretending to "educate" me on the "new way of working". They are riding the wave even though they've got neither the technical skills nor the business knowledge to provide anything of value.
And I get their supervisors and managers asking for promotion endorsements or presumptuous feedback that justify a high PMP rating. I don't know how these people go to sleep at night, knowing that they are nothing but frauds.
Clueless leaders made it into a numbers game.
We have the data, just need to organize it and get help from computer sifting through it. This is years overdue!
digital is data collection. AI is manipulating that data in a way an operative could not. Basically he will be replaced by a machine. Wellcome to the future...it’s here already.
Most of it has created more work
‘digital’ is a pre-cursor to AI. If you’re not on the train you’ll be left behind.
