Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

It's about to start

Our new owner and CEO might be acting all happy/nice/friendly right now, but don't be fooled. They didn't buy B&N to let it continue to lose money.

They'll want to see profits, and the best and fastest way to achieve that is through store closings and layoffs.

I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it...

If they close underperforming stores , they’ll be closing most of them. Would like to see the managers and district managers who all lied to the thousands they fired in2018 be thrown out as well. Some protected good employees by moving them around. Others, lied about knowing it was coming and sat back and destroyed many lives.
I had a front row seat to see good career conscience workers escorted out like they were criminals. The managers in my store even joked about the reactions some had. Disgusting human beings. I left shortly after after losing all respect for those I worked with.

“Is anyone else seeing clues?”

All stores ? Or just us ?
One of our mgrs has a big mouth.
Mgr called all the mgrs to office this afternoon. They emerged after 20/30 minutes looking like someone k–led their pet. The cafe Mgr told me,they were told ,our store is closing. Friday will be the last day. Is this just our store or are others been told this, also ?!
I’d say that’s your clue, right there !

We haven't had a CBDM for months now since the last one quit. It makes me suspect that our store may be closing soon. Is anyone else seeing any clues?
