List of Pizza Hut Restaurants Closing

This is a list with about 90 Pizza Hut Restaurants that got closed in 2018 and 2019. You can check the validity of the closure list on Yelp, I checked them all there. I got the list from various sources and it should be accurate. I am not claiming that all closed Pizza Hut Restaurants will be on the list but they have been closed and it's a partial list.

If you have more info you can post it here but for now this is all I have as it relates to closures. I hear that they will be closing 500 restaurants in 2019 and 2020 - that's a lot - if we assume that let's say 7 people work in every restaurant, there will be 3,000 people losing jobs

So, that's the list of Pizza Hut restaurants closed that I've found - add more if you have info. Also if you know how many people got laid off, you can add that too.

Also, share any news articles about closures. I am sure local papers will be focusing on this more, and local TV and radio stations will be all over it. For some of the restaurants that will be closing it will be a big hit for local communities as there are not other pizza shops in those neighborhoods, probably mostly in Mid-West and South...

Breaking News for Monday 8/17/2020:

Closing 300 locations as part of a deal between the pizza chain and its largest U.S. franchisee, NPC International.
NPC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early July.
Closing locations underperform other chain’s locations, and the majority are expected to be dine-in locations.

This for 2018 and 2019 closures. Does someone have the list of closures for 2020? I need 2020 pre and post COVID list of closures for all major restaurant chains.

Niagara Falls NY closed during the pandemic. Been closed for a few months now. Miss it!

NPC International (of Central Kansas, USA) operates 1200+ Pizza Huts and 385 Wendy's. They filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy July 1st 2020. Chapter 11 means that can continue to operate these restaurants. However, this is still a bankruptcy of a billion dollar business.

The Pizza Hut in Leominster MA closed not that long ago and the building was demolished a few weeks ago... Haven't been able to find out if there are plans to rebuild... Pylon sign is blacked out so.probably not...

Boise City, OK closed at New Years. Alva, Ok has been closed for several months.

Every full service location in Connecticut is now closed. New Britain (next to CCSU) closed at the end of autumn/start of winter and Waterbury was the final one to close in maybe the last month or so. The only ones left in CT are the express locations in some Taco Bells and Targets.

Pizza Hut in Lake City, Fl closed years ago. We have a take out store but I miss the dine in Pizza Hut. I especially miss the Cavatina Pizza Hit used to make. If Pizza Hut cared about their stores they would hire better management. Sorry management is why ours closed. Pot heads were running the store. So sad..

The location I work at has 16 employees.

They've closed all Pizza Huts in the Philadelphia are including all Delaware county locations (Collingdale, Upper Darby, Aston)

We had 6 close in our area. PA-Reading, PA Pottstown, PA Gilbersville, PA Lansdale, PA Trooper, PA and Limerick, PA. They all closed in a matter of days.

Pizza Hut- Franklin Mills Mall (Philadelphia, PA.).... Pizza Hut - Street Road (Bensalem, PA)

West Norriton (Norristown) PA and Oxford PA both closed–and the West Norriton store was delivery only.

Our Pizza Hut has been here since the 70's the Pizza used to be great now they changed something an its awful, then a 2 inch ring around the pizza an nothing on it just crust if you order a 16 inch pizza you end up with a 12 inch pizza. .....West Plains. Mo

Does someone know how many people work in a typical restaurant?

I am trying to figure out how many people will be laid off.

For example if the average number of employees per restaurant is 10, this would mean that they will be laying off 5,000 Pizza Hut employees.
