The script that SMs read for employees regarding the discontinuation of allowances indicated that the company is giving us enough time to adjust our budgets. Well, that's exactly what I have started to do. My LCC is at the bottom of the shredding machine! I've already signed up with the HD/Citibank card and I'll get the card in the mail soon. I always have some projects going on around the house (just to keep busy) and I spend a few thousands from Lowe's every year (I know I'm sounding like a p-ss-d off customer). I was actually in the process of redoing my kids' bedrooms and bathroom. All the materials that I had already purchased is going back to the store! Marvin ain't loyal, why should I be? The most I'll ever spend at Blowe's going forward will be for a bottle of water once in a while.

When was this announcement about the allowances made?
When I called to cancel my card they had me talk to 3 different people and tried to get me to keep it by offering specials.
I politely informed the last supervisor that I’d have kept the card if they had similar staffing levels and attention in the store that they have in credit services.
