Companies usually do everything they can to avoid the WARN notice but in this case, I guess they could not hide the fact that they did not need two corporate HQs, especially one in super expensive New York.

The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988 (the "WARN Act") is a US labor law which protects employees, their families, and communities by requiring most employers with 100 or more employees to provide 60 calendar-day advance notification of plant closings and mass layoffs of employees, as defined in the Act. In 2001, there were about 2,000 mass layoffs and plant closures which were subject to WARN advance notice requirements and which affected about 660,000 employees.

It's a legitimate notice that they B layoffs starting October 31st then November 31st and then December 31st of this year so 33 people will be laid off who knows if it'll be more it's required by the state to inform people ahead of time it's based on a percentage of employees in the company and or size of the company to make it fair to people so they're not blindsided
