Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Unionize

I do not understand why no one has unionized Lowe’s yet. With as upset as everyone is, why are you not attempting to unionize? Just curious.

No US store will be allowed to unionize. If one did then the company would just find a legal reason/loophole to shut it down. THAT I promise you.

Hahaha "that dog won't hunt here" hop off your cousin dude that BS isn't working anymore. I WANT the soul s—ed out of this company, I want to stand at my new little kiosk telling customers exactly why they can't find help here. I want to see the boot lickers come to hate this place. Lowe's will never be a better place so I will do everything humanly possible to help push it down the hill.

I think it's a wonderful idea I'd welcome the dues if It would cause that POS CEO even one headache. It's not that I wish anything bad on him I just think Lowe's would be better off if he stopped breathing.

Nice try but that dog won’t hunt here. I worked for the company for over 20 yrs in the store level as a dept mgr but I’m still smart enough to know that unions add cost and conflict to doing business at any level. Unions are not the answer and despite my disagreements with mgmt I would never recommend unionization. Unions s— the life out of companies.

One you would only be able to form a union at a store level. Two if that ever happened to a store it would shut down and be liquidated via 3rd party. If it’s a good area a new store would be built. But none of the previous staff could be rehired. Three, a union has no power to tell Lowes what position they can and can not change.

If you unionized layoffs would not happen that easily and you might actually get paid what your worth ;)
