As I review this forum it amazes me the ignorance of some of you. Why would you continue to work for such a horrible company who doesn’t have any apparent ethics when it comes to staff. You all complain, but you stick around. You are the problem. Depart and find a new career like I did. One with prosperity and not another day of drama and the unknowns specific to NetApp and leadership team who doesn’t care about you at all. Move on. You can do it!

Capital Allocation: It's in the numbers. Back out the employee bonus and comp line item in the non-gap numbers within SG&A and look at the buy-backs. Institution guys want their money. Long, slow road to the bottom. Last one keeping the lights on gets nothing as a thank you for years of service.
I couldn’t agree more. NetApp is a joke. My employment with them lasted about six months. Too much internal turmoil. Better places to work. Avoid at all costs.
How do you exit NetApp? Take FMLA for six weeks (personal mental health reboot) then allow them to push you out with lay-off and severance pay. You’ll net almost 20 weeks pay (with zero work) and a $30K-40K severance check with health insurance benefits for 90+ days post employment. This strategy has worked for many people.
I hear them losing more than most. A shift has taken place. Market no longer sees value. Sinking ship because current leadership doesn’t source a workable strategy.
netapp hasn't been a gold place to work since about 2009. It's not like it went downhill recently.
With the stock tanking and technical staff leaving the building, it is just a matter of time before the story comes to and end. Sales teams are worthless. Unless a current partner acquires NetApp, it’s easy to understand that the end is near. At least it will be satisfying to see from my perspective. Burn baby burn!
I’ve worked for NetApp since 2015. I put in over 100 hours a week in 2015 and 2016. Multiple layoffs showed me who this company has become. We laugh and joke about going to work for Dell. The reality of the matter is all of these tech companies are the same. It’s no life working for a company who doesn’t value their staff. Get out while you can. You owe it to yourself.
Come to Dell Emc we've only had 3 layoffs this year.
That’s no excuse. Your priorities are misaligned if that’s the case.
Because it’s not always quick nor easy to find another job, especially if you aren’t an engineer or developer.
I could agree more. Far better places to work than for the worst employer in the Valley. You should all stage a walkout.
