Well it’s been 2 years since I was one of the department mgrs laid off. It’s been 2 years that has had many surprises, all good ones I must say. To my surprise the same SM and his sidekick OPs Mgr are still running the
Sh..t show. The store has a completely different staff, all completely low information associates. Again this SM doesn’t do anything different, he still hides in his office as per current employees, I would not expect him to change his ways. The OPs Mgr is still a bully, lies and steals time just like always!! I’m not surprised at this behavior, thru both should have their butts kicked out of the door and any trained monkey could do better!! So many great associates are gone but I know they are not completely forgotten by the phone calls I still get. The SM use to brag in his office after he would look at the stock prices about how much money he was going to make, surprise let’s talk about how much your going to lose, you deserve everything bad that is coming your way. Good luck finding your way after your escorted to the door! All of your current and former associates are now rating you out, we all want you out and you can take Amy with you!

Oh just showing up every day now till they decide the next batch of layoffs is pure comedy. We all expect it and just watching the c-ap show it has become is laughable. DMs trying to act as though they're making a difference at all like right LOL. Keep running around like a headless chicken it's hilarious moving product between stores in your company paid SUV (btw y dont you use up your own car to save corp $$$???). Wish I could sell tickets to this sh%% show all of us on the inside laugh daily. This company is a hot freaking mess with no clue. Maybe start with actual technology that WORKS. Not Windows 2008, not the awful still work in progress TBS FEO whatever that even means FEO, PLEASE figure out the wifi problems, and please let the credit card go or offer customers a reason to want it!!! ZERO INCENTIVE HELLO!!! And kinda hard to sell the credit card when our stock is....well...enough said. Most customers think we are ALL closing...why would they sign up for our credit card???? Who in the H is asleep at our company wheel??? CLUELESS!!!
I'm not bitter either; as a matter of fact I quit on my own terms to start a business with a friend which is awesome because I don't have to pander to entitled needy customers that think their sh!t don't stink. Nothing was more ridiculous when Randy, or some other worthless joker from district would come in disguised like the average customer; except we had them ratted out immediately seeing them approach the store from the parking lot with the code of "Elvis is in the building" over the radio. Oh the good ole days!
When Black Thursday occured; 1003 lost three great managers with over forty five years experience combined. They were thrown to the curb like rubbish, along with all the others throughout the country just to save $16 million dollars, which just happened to be that coward Tamares salary at the time.
I've seen this movie before and it don't have a happy ending. The Excel Spreadsheet Hawks are gonna strip what's left and jettison the balance. Keep your throating skills up to date, might need to learn how to work the prostate, and pineapple juice I'm told helps with the taste.
For everyone else, get your resume out there, go on to something more positive and get your weekends back!!!
@Throatwobblermangrove. Sherry quit a couple years back to work in Finance. I remember when I worked at 276 on a Saturday and my Store Manager was having lunch in his office at the time and I told him Sherri was here. He dropped his Subway sandwich so fast it fell on the floor. People really feared her. What a joke. Her and all the other Regional Managers really screwed up a great company by using fear tactics. Pathetic.
Not bitter here, just laughing every time these news reports what a poorly run operation YOU are part of. We don’t care, just watching the sh.t show. Obviously your one of the great leaders, you should be embarrassed but you are one of the reasons BBB is in this condition. My new job is great and so is the money and I should add our stock prices isn’t at $9 plus, lol. Yes the lame SM is still helping to destroy what was once the leader of the industry. You guys sound a bit bitter. You no longer work there so who cares if the slug store manager is still running things. Back to college is no longer set on the front end it’s set through out the store. Focus on your current job not the one that got away. Sherry hasn’t worked for the company in awhile.. you guys are out of the loop and shouldn’t even be posting on here.
Everybody working upstairs at the District office is a bit nervous right now with tight sphincters! Is Ice Queen (Sherry (sp?)) still there? That id–t would sneak into our store, saw me and my department manager bringing down electrics to fill holes on a Saturday, then flip out and chew our MOD out for us downstocking. Best customer service is a filled shelf you dumb Tw@t!
Just visited my old store 1003 the other day, if it's back to college time I wouldn't know the way things are set up? They still have the summer c-ap up front instead of college gear like years past. The ship is taking on water fast! The capital investment people are gonna clear these useless douches out anyway. Oh this is gonna be fun to watch!
So true on the layoffs! Those of us sadly left are inside begging to be given release. What the hell will it take
