A Lowe's spokesperson said the assembly and janitorial jobs are being outsourced to allow Lowe's associates more time to spend on the sales floor serving customers. That makes no sense unless more people are going to be hired to work the sales floor as a result of the cost savings from outsourcing the jobs mentioned. The people laid off we're not working the sales floor and those remaining are going to be asked to perform some of the tasks that the laid off workers were performing.

As one of the associates who was terminated, I can say while my job was not customer facing, I frequently assisted customers. When you are on the floor and wearing a vest, (no matter the color) and a customer asks for help, you help them out. Not able to understand how my not being there enables others to provide more customer service.
The Lowe's higher-ups are nothing but liars and thieves.
