Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Next to go

Plumbing specialists, tool and hardware specialists, decor specialists and the electrical/plumbing pros are going to get axed. Depot doesn't have electrical/plumbing pros or tool/hardware specialists, fashion plumbing and kitchens are merging to kitchen and bath, and flooring will be also responsible for decor. The hours will be used to bring in lower cost PT CSA positions which can obviously be flexed in hours to keep payroll down. Corp is not concerned about the quality of staffing(product knowledge) they are looking for short term stock gains(take the money and run), they don't plan on being around for the long term.

Im convinced they will reduce all the specialists in the store in half and the remaining won't be assigned to a department but have to handle all areas. So they won't need so many. The reason being is the CPO handles all the paperwork. They just start and end the process..

Uh Depot does have Plumbing Pros. I have a friend who is one. As for Decor Specialist they laid those off 2 years at my location.
