Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

So many layers!

Why are RMs even needed? Or DMs for that matter. They all forward the same email information like it's their idea when they are just parroting information from someone else anyway. Company is still so bloated with Regionals and Districts it's laughable really. And not one of them actually contribute on a meaningful level. But tell us again how many Beyond + you captured and how very important it is to harass every shopper to give up their email address while checking out. Why dont these tired old people with no real new ideas grab their bags of money and just retire already before they drive the company all the way in the ground. As if $9 a share isnt pretty much there. Good job guys.

Preach! Nothing in this company is going to change until every last one of them has been replaced. No one knows the customers better than the stores, and no one knows better what the customers react to than the people who actually deal with the customers day in day out. But we can’t adapt because a bunch of overpaid id–ts with antiquated thinking and a “this is the way we’ve always done it” attitude are too busy justifying their positions and keeping the stores firmly on the track to failure. They take our staff and then complain that stuff isn’t getting done. They cut payroll and complain about lack of coverage. The way we’ve always done is has ridden this company to the brink of total collapse, it’s time for new blood. But, you know, it’s ok, we can compensate for having no floor coverage by having more cashiers and a credit card! That’ll save us!

So true!!! Let's strip most of your staff but still please make it happen because that 4 foot feature will make or break us 🤣🤣🤣. Um can we first please do the obvious elephant in the room?? FIX THE ANTIQUATED TECHNOLOGY already. Running on what Windows 2008 platform??? A complete joke cheap a$$ company. A joke. Even customers notice!!!

I have to laugh because they are paying the DMs and RMs big salaries to tell us and point out to us stuff we already know but haven't got around to completing because we are running registers and assisting customers. What a waste of payroll.
