Thread regarding L3 Technologies layoffs

Management changes

Just heard that current L3 management will be replaced by Harris management. It sure would be a welcome change considering the pay vs value of l3 managers. Could this be part of the layoffs coming in August l?

The number one priority of the corporation is the bottom line, the price of the stock.

Yes they have been lying to you, or they are drinking the Kool-Aid and believing blindly what they are told.

The goal of the corporation is to secure and maintain revenue to look stable while transitioning programs as part of the consolidation not to appear to interrupt customer commitments, stable delivery of products and services, while at the same time consolidating and divesting business segments to create a consolidated portfolio.

You should always be looking for a new job, never become stagnant in the job market.

Do you think they have been telling lies to us just to keep us working good? Do you think there is going to be a lay-off? Do you know when this lay-off might occur? I like it here and don’t want to look for another job

Tommy,

Do you really think your manager cares about you and is telling you the truth? Perhaps they're as ignorant as you about the situation and are telling you all they know, more likely than not they are lying to you to keep their numbers up because someone has their head so far up their 4th point of contact they believe what they are being told from above.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid!

Managers at CSW salt lake said not to worry there will be no layoffs, we are way to valuable of assets to loose and that Harris people couldn’t even do a quarter of the stuff we know how to do.

Hauppauge laid off temps and are cross training internal personnel for those positions.

Lots of people, not just senior management dusted off their resume's and started testing the water to see whats out there, people who maybe would not have done so if the company didn't feel so unstable, and a lot of those people got good feedback in industry and have welcomed new opportunities outside of what used to be L3. What was L3 has been bleeding people not just in management but across the board, people are leaving and finding better opportunities which will offset the layoffs but unfortunately for the remnants of what was L3, the people who remained are those who are part of the cancer that has been growing from within L3.

Very bad decision - L3 managers are way better than Harris. When you start dealing with folks from Harris you will see how bad they are... they only care about company stock and the whole company exists for their personal gain.

Multiple departments at CSW. Not surprising though. Most management at CSW has been outright non existent or extremely unprofessional for quite some time now. Personally I will welcome it.

The August layoffs are only for low-level employees. Management won't be replaced until October.
