JD had no clue since she started. The head mo–n is just as guilty for this mess and will be tagged as such by the business community. Leaders take pride on being tuned into the organization and being a strong advocate for processing feedback from the front line. Everyone from one end of the Pepsi organization to the other said this was not working. The middle management directors put their tails between their legs and refused to listen, they spent their time blowing sunshine up the a..holes above them. Now it’s a fine mess. True blue employees have lost their jobs, some lost their homes and severely impacted their family lives. The CEO should bury his head in shame. He runs the company but clearly does not know how to lead. Completely useless. How will he ever make it up to the hundreds of loyal employees that were tossed to the curb.

Now that’s a dumb comment ...
What clowns, a CIO that went to night school for a music major and took a few Fortran classes ?.....Pepsico got what they deserved

After a long time finally a good decision has been taken.
After she made a mess in another company in her previous job she did the same again in Pepsico.
Really pitty for the people that were all fired (1 year ago) , including myself (54 year, too old, too much knowledge ...).
Step 1: Complete
Step 2: Put someone with serious technology experience in as a CIO/CTO and have that position report to the top (i.e. not through Finance). Ideally, this would be someone with significant software architecture "street cred", not someone who just spews buzzwords. Someone who the rank-and-file can actually look up to. The technology requirement probably disqualifies most (if not all) of the current senior IT leadership.
Step 3: New CIO/CTO interviews candidates for the next level down (and so forth). The current occupants would be welcome to apply, but it would be doubtful that they would be selected (due again to that pesky "technology" requirement for senior Information Technology managers).
I realize that Steps 2 and 3 are probably extremely unlikely to happen, but one can dream...
oh boy - can you imagine the legal suits !!! Not to mention the bad press !!! "PepsiCo terminates numerous employees near retirement age and backfills them with new hires after acknowledging mistake". I would be first in line for compensation !!! I would show them the same compassion I was shown after 30+ years. The media would have field day not only with age discrimination but replacing intentionally replacing loyal American workers of tenure with foreign workers. This will blow up in the social media, its just a matter of time. Then again, in true PepsiCo fashion, I expect JD is now setup as the scape goat to take the blame for everything from bad strategic decisions to troubles with Indian Potatoe farmers. Ramon needs to use his machine that goes "bing" !!!!! LMAO !!!
"How will he ever make it up to the hundreds of loyal employees that were tossed to the curb. "
They can do nothing for the hundreds of loyal employees tossed to the curb, which is the sad part. But, for the good employees who still remain they can attempt to show some decency. The id–tic hub strategy needs to be sc-apped so existing employees can feel empowered again with what little sense of job security and pride in their employer JD has destroyed - and productivity and delivering better results would inevitably follow. Funny how IT has been pushing an agile agenda, while also pushing a structure with these hubs and no remote workers that is literally anything but agile!
Not confident anything will change but maybe now there's a glimmer of hope. At least it's satisfying that the witch is gone. Seriously, she seemed like an evil woman.
