Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Barron’s predictions huge layoffs for Power after 2nd quarter. My Pink Slip is on the way

At GE’s troubled power division, more cost cuts and layoffs could be announced. Management may also choose to address in greater detail the Chinese power market after competitor Siemens (SIE.Germany) raised fears of new Chinese-based competition in May, which could steal market share from GE, or other power market players, in the far future.

I have been hearing that they are calling members back-LIE!

I also have been hearing this rumor of a ton of work coming to Schenectady-Another Lie (they are just saying that to keep what little motivation going for now)

The fact is Massive Cuts Are Coming To Power and I hope my Pink Slip Comes Before Summer Ends.

Schenectady will be lucky to have 200-300 union members left if it stays open. That is why the hall is in shambles! They know more than what they are saying. Also that is why they want this contract to pass to save the D Rates.

Why would this company have so many openings for a company that is supposed to be cutting back with onsite FTE and contract employees? Something bigger is brewing......

Wait until the gas turbine market losses are announced. Not good for GE Power Employees. Many more will be reviewing their resume soon. Good luck to all.
