MARC = Mutually Assured Reduction in Competency. Corp and HR want to achieve a certain quota of women in leadership positions. Instead of allowing women to compete on their own merits, job moves are being forced. It’s easy for a big company to justify this kind of discriminatory practice when it is paraded out under a moniker like MARC.

MARC = DISCRIMINATION. No matter how you slice and dice or or try to justify it. This is not the Chevron Way or the EEOC Way. Someone still working for Chevron should put the bug in the ear of the ACLU and see if they take up the case.
Mediocrity Assimilation Requirement Compliance = MARC
MARC has resulted in more women than ever becoming team leads and managers. It’s Chevron’s form of affirmative action for women.
Another CYA initiative which Chevron minions have no choice but to embrace. It will be one of the new buzz words sprinkled into the corporate language of all loyal Chevron butt lickers particularly anyone in management. I cannot imagine there are too many that actually believe in this c-ap but it is career s–c-de to do anything but keep your mouth shut and even better to swallow hard and publicly embrace it.
MARC— Just more social engineering and political correctness BS. Don’t mind this too much, people. All these slogans and initiatives in Chevron are mainly intended for public consumption. Unfortunately, some employees and management types take it too seriously. When you see or hear this junk being peddled in the company, just smile, nod your head, then walk away.
Just a quick web search on "Chevron MARC" comes up with this ....Chevron’s Women’s Network launched the Men Advocating Real Change (MARC) initiative developed by Catalyst, a nonprofit that provides resources to engage men as more active and visible champions for gender inclusion. Participants in MARC are committed to achieving workplace gender equality by improving opportunities for women to compete for roles at all levels.
@3mpo, Very nice!
