A month, how much for a family?
I was quoted $900 a month outside of GM.
What do you guys pay a month?

Our salaried rate for family is jumping to $1,162 for just health. Plus being in the salaried retiree bucket, gave us the higher deductible plan, with no choice. Should have taken COBRA as it was less expensive and for the better Basic plan we had. This really really s—s but I have to tell you, NO healthcare.gov plan can still touch that rate and the healthcare.gov benefits are WORSE as the single deductibles are about $6,000. What a rip off.
$800 per month for me. (single). It will carry me up to Medicare. Could not figure out which was the lesser evil – a gamed exorbitant COBRA or uncompleted Obamacare. Happy for all those who need and have access to Obamacare, but my physicians don't want to accept it.
COBRA cost will be for me $13K plus deductibles. About 1/2 or more of the cost of a better quality GM vehicle. Guess which I'm buying, and which I'm not.
10g3mdfM-1noy Yes. My GM Blue Cross is $120. $198 when you add in Vision and dental. All for family Cobo. I had continued coverage for 6 months and will roll to Cobra in September.
One party is held captive by corporations and wants to maximize their profits at the expense of the American people.
Stop voting for that party.
If we know all of this then why aren't more people trying to put a stop to it?
The US is the only developed country in the world that doesn't have government paid health care.
And despite what the fear mongers say, the US pays more than twice as much per capita as the next most expensive country, and gets worse medical outcomes.
In the US, it's all about getting massive profits for pharmaceutical companies and hospital conglomerates, not patient care.
Why is healthcare so expensive? Lol It's all for profit!! Nobody gives a c-ap about taking care of people, it's a business and everyone in it is out to get rich providing it. You have insurance companies, they want a profit, the agents who sell it, next the hospital, then comes the staff, all the medical devices, plus hospital supplies and their sales people, then comes the d–g makers and their sales people. I love the d–g makers and doctor s. We can treat you for high blood pressure! Why? Could I change my diet? Well, yeah, but you don't have to, just take the medication and continue eating a high sodium diet. It's ok. Lol. Not to mention all those companies have CEOs and stockholders who also want a good return on their stock portfolios. Oh, also you can add in fraud and those that skip out and never pay. An example might be gang shootings where they spend like 100 or 200 thousand on saving the person, good luck collecting that.
This same explaination can be applied as to why college education is such a joke concerning price. They raise tuition a small percentage every year. Most people don't pay much attention to it, but it adds up. The sad thing is all of us sheep continue to find a way to pay. If people just stop paying for just one month it would strike fear into these greedy sob,s and prices would come right down.

$120 a month to cover a family? From GM insurance???
My Cobra will be a over $900/month when it starts in September. I met our deductible so it will be cheaper to finish out the year with GM insurance. Will miss the $120/ month for Blue Cross!
Thank you, God bless all of you!
I can only pray for positive change in our country,
Check out healthcare.gov.
Depending on your income, you may qualify for subsidies.
I’m paying $333 a month for cobra just for me. It’s actually less expensive than some of the others I received quotes on. Plus I keep the same insurance I had while employed. Of course it will come to an end next summer so crossing my fingers I find a job.
I'd like to know also, for a family of 3 ?
Why is health care so damn expensive in the US??? If anyone out there has a suggestion please help.
Thanks
