Why are they acting like they are reinventing the wheel. You are remodeling stores that have needed it for decades. You are adding back customer service reladed positions and services that where once standard in retail. ie fitting room associates, department specific associates, restaurants, customer service (AYS) and putting the brands that local customers want back in the store.

Yes, they are adding positions but the associates only work a few weeks because Macy's pays so poorly and they go somewhere else..
stinks like the sour smell of the carpet in macys fitting rooms at opening time.
There are very few new ideas in retal, it all stinks of desperation!
