The belief that Michael dupped Ed and has gone a different direction than they agreed fades further from plausibility each day that Ed doesn't buy & save the downtown building. Tick tock...

Who's Ed? That guys gone and forgotten.
The man spent his life here, and now he’s comfortably retired. Why would he care? And why in the world would he buy a run down old building?
Estimates were that downtown building is going to take about $100 million to renovate and bring up to date. Let it go.
Ed is in DC. He cares less about SF. He knows the train is going to crash.
Don’t understand why this millennial newb keeps saying fire the lifers and eliminate pension.
First the pension is so overfunded.. they could pay all those who retire with it.. second, fire the lifers implies that their payroll is dragging us down.. our exp ratio is 35%. Progressive is 32%. They’re growing millions of cars. We’re not.
Fire the lifers and eliminate the pension. No more chances. You are running out of time.
The lifers will remember the term State Farm 2000 and it was initiated in around 1996 and was the beginning of the company going in the wrong direction. I have no love for Rust and he is just as much a part of the mess we are in as Typsord.
I don't get all the Ed love. This started under him. These changes didn't just happen with the changeover. Too many parts requiring a lot of planning.
Ed is just more image conscious. If Tippy doesn't care and respect his family, why would one think he cares even the slightest about non family members and employees?
I miss Ed so much.
A lot of these changes go back to Ed Rust......he set the wheels in motion with “future state”. Just think about this, Ed Rust was State Farm CEO for 30 years and 25 of those years he wanted to keep the company as his father’s company, he wasn’t very open to change but all of a sudden he wanted to change the company. I heard that it was Rust’s idea of the Hubs not Tipsord. Personally I think It’s unfair to Tipsord to give him all of the blame, but he can change course in the company’s direction if he wanted to.....The company culture goes back to Ed Rust Jr........Mr Tipsord needs to realize the reality, good claims personnel are not going to pack up and move to the Hubs they just are not centrally located
