After 21 years of continuous harassment from supervisors and management I finally released myself from a self incarceration in the worst jailhouse to work from in on earth. I have I wanted to stay 4 more years but could not take the pressure. I have seen 100’s of people go in and out of the metaphorical “Revolving Door”. Most of the people I know that have left we’re either fired laid off or left because they just hated the place. Most of the ones fired were because they couldn’t make management happy or someone else threw them under the bus. Either way nothing was ever good enough for the people in management. I can’t believe I wasted my best years at this hell hole. Hertz is definitely getting rid of anyone with 20+ years and over the age of 50. Two of the managers I knew in the OKlahoma City department were let go with no warning recently and the both were over 50 and 20-30 plus years. If they don’t get rid of you then you are not allowed to advance or move up. I was denied opportunities several times trying to get out of the bad department I was in but to tell the truth most of the other departments are also high in turnover. Yes they get rid of the old and replace with new at lower wages and less benefits. I would not recommend my worst enemies to working at Hertz let alone any family or friends. Not only is management bad most of the employees are either unhappy or constantly arguing among themselves. Everyone complains all day every day horrible atmosphere. The moral of this story is “You don’t want to go there!”

I should have listened to former employees and the news. As this company is consistently voted worst company in America!
I wasted one year of my career working for this corrupt company.
Leaders hired unqualified, uncaring, and ruthless friends as Managers. They follow no HR guidelines and anything goes. I was never more discriminated against in my life. I was ridiculed, harassed on a daily basis. Hertz has dirty hands so it is no surprise that they are folding already!
Hertz has good people working for them in Oklahoma but their upper management in OK and FL are absolute buffoons. I know someone mid 40s got fired last year for performance, however the manager that fired them changed the metrics when he came in and she went from top performer to fired. Of course age, salary and years of service where why they let her go. But they do not say that, they also used to pick and poke the employee till they would break down in closed door meetings with this sick manager.
Oh lordy I'm glad I got let go when I did. It was the best gift I ever received. I'd rather be deployed to the Middle East all over again then to work for Hertz. Those were the worst 3 years of my life! Immediately after walking out the door on my last day my eye stopped twitching and the nightmares stopped. Now I have an awesome corporate admin job at a family owned construction company and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Hertz for permanently laying me off!
Why do ya'll stay where you hate it. You talk about Hertz being dumb. Yall are the dumb f—s. If yo were as smarts as you say you should of left a long time ago. I actually love my job at Hertz. For all you complaining F—S if I bought you for what you were worth and sold you for what you thought you were worth a be a billionaire
HERTZ IS A GREAT PLACE. LOVE THE, THEY LOVE US
It is absolutely the worst place to work. Some positions are slightly more tolerable than others. I am sorry. That was b—s—. There are no positions under general manager that don't have you leaving working 6 of 7 work days with your blood pressure elevated to stroke level at the sheer ridiculousness of what is being asked of you. That combined with the fact that if you are a real eager beaver and manage to do the impossible, it will NEVER be acknowledged, much less appreciated. If you fail to do the impossible, you can bet your a– you will not stop the constant feedback. I feel like I aged in dog years during my 5 years at Hertz.
It’s their not there. Keep thinking that and working for a company that continues to be a voted the worst place to work. Sounds like you Deserve that.
Everyone everywhere complains about there job. Hertz is a great place to work.
Triple worst company ever! I'll Never work for a major corporation ever let alone Hertz! I'm thankful they laid me off! Got a better job, yes I took a pay cut but this company doesnt have their panties in a wad over average handling time and revenue and has better hours. "Oh we love our employees" Bull....(finish that word if u will) They dont care sh$t about the livelihoods of their employees or customers you can hang that up. As long as you work for Hertz and not owning the company your gonna get treated like sh&t and your sitting back like I just wasted 20+ years of my got d@mn life! this company is losing major contracts....wonder why? Till they do right by people in general everything they touch will rot!
Worst...company...ever...
