Have leaked information that Vena has made the decision Commerce shop will close starting Oct 1st. Slowly they will start a abolishing jobs and will furlough mid Oct.

It is official. Commerce and dolores shops are closing. Good luck to all of you and your families.
October 1st has past, it’s still open. Of course, all the people quitting might help them not have to do the pre-shutdown layoffs mention in the OP. As of now, there is no plan to shut it down and it’s future is not guaranteed.
The source of the leak is the senior F&O on 3rd shift.
Some LA basin shop in California is going down, that is a fact. We just don’t know who or when.

I don't work there, but our shop director told us he felt Commerce was on it's way out about a month ago when he noticed their goals for M2 (I think it was M2) inspections dropped in a fashion similiar to Hinkle and Pine Bluff before they got shut down. If it is true, sorry to the employees affected by this. I hope you can land safely at another employer that treats you better.
The voices in my my head says we will be alright.
OP: Name the source of the leak, or where it came from and from what level (manager, director, AVP, etc.). If you can't do that then you have no credibility.
