Eddie ought to be ashamed of the way he has conducted the closing down of Kmart. Suppliers, associates, and customers deserved much better. If you can't make the stores look decent then you have no business being open to the public and exposing them to such conditions. People don't expect to walk into a retailer and be in that sort of environment with cracked floors and leaking ceilings. This has been a shameful and long drawn out closing, which has increased stress on the loyal employees. It has disgraced the Kmart name and ruined tarnished the legacy it held within American retailing history.

Pretty obvious if someone was actually trying to run a business for long term they wouldn't just shove unachievable metrics down employees throats with the threat of losing their job without doing literally any remodeling of the stores unless they were more interested in collecting data to sell later then actually running a profitable business plan....they are doing everything they can to make money on liquidating then anything else, it is a liquidation company that thinks they can ride the coat tails of Sears and Kenmore to open small format stores which probably could have a chance at being successful because they do have a market for it and the logistics but they are obviously too incompetent to realize that and are just going to liquidate after the home and life and hometown stores fail or will just go belly up before any of that master plan become a fruition and say F it we still have the real estate and Lowe's or Amazon will buy Kenmore and diehard brand.....you already k–led off all the Kenmore customers anyway and die hard isn't anything more than than a brand someone buys when they walk into a store and have few options nobody gives a damn about diehard c'mon now you ain't fooling anyone with the diehard pitch
