I used to report to DL and notified him I was in the ER and wouldn’t be able to come into work for what I thought was an obvious reason. He replied, asking me what was on my to-do list for the day and if I could send him the projects I was working on. I begrudgingly complied. He followed up, asking for more information with additional questions—all while I was in the ER. He has the compassion of a badger. Horrible person.

Some keep saying that if Doug and his team wouldn’t have come then CHK would have been Bankrupt years ago. He has sold close to 50% of the company in an effort to retire debt, but the debt has gone to 12 billion. No gains from selling assets.
Fire. Him. If investors don’t start calling for his head - I’d be surprised. Granted Icahn’s tinkering didn’t help.
Doug spoke to my group the other day and said that if he knew what he knows now he would have absolutely come to CHK. One of us is lying. Most certainly both.
I love it when people make up laughable stories that they think we will believe.
He is a genius. Could you lose most of shareholder value and still get paid millions in performance bonuses? With this creativity, he will find a way to keep this gravy train going.

Uh that’s just honesty. Im sure none of the APC people would have left Mecca six years ago for this sh– hole if all they would have known how bad it really was! lol They’ve all lost a ton of money along with the rest of us hangeroner’s!
Doug was speaking to my group and he said if he knew six years ago what he knows now he wouldn’t have come here. I think he realized after he said it it was inappropriate to say that to us and he tried to laugh it off. Not leadership.

You must be kidding or quite naive. CHK would have filed BKR (maybe not a bad thing except for shareholders) or would be gone but for the efforts of him and his team. Seriously, you must have no idea how bad things were the day he arrived. Like all humans, he has no doubt made mistakes, but CHK has benefitted from his leadership, in my opinion as a former CHK’r.
