What did Eddie expect? Put no money in stores for decades and then wonder why they fell behind? I guess all those other retailers across the entire world wouldn't know as much as Eddie. What do they know, doing silly things like investing in their stores and making it a pleasant environment to shop in?

Eddie and company are surprised that the systematic closings are taking place. What is happening was the plan from the beginning.
