Canadian Pacific saw that Canadian National Railway (CN) is set to acquire the Massena rail line from CSX, so CP took that opportunity to outdue CN and bought Conway. Conway is saved, they know how to move freight, and the system would fall apart without them.

It's funny everyone on here knows about the lazy piece of sh–s that have worked the RR for years but no one is throwing any blame on them. A ton of employees just got laid off in big part to the lazy terds that have been taking advantage for years. Management s—s, NS as an entity s—s, the unions s—, all true but don't forget the terds that helped put this in motion. You all know the guys i'm talking about.
This is Trump making America great again. To everyone who voted Republican ,republicans are anti -union ,always have been and alway will be. They seem to be fine with C E O 's and management rewarding themselves like gods but don't want Union workers making good wages you can actually live on. The last dark times of the rail industry was during the great Ronald regan years , cost me 5 and a half years furlough . I am a very conservative Democrat ,union Democrat . That being said , I can not stand the direction of the new ultra left lean of the Democratic party . I guess stop voting Party LIne and make politicians support pro worker legislation .God Bless all the guys furloughed , keep your heads up ,I hope Norfolk Southern gets their heads out of their asses soon . Their rocket scientist management is running them into the ground . The railroad is making money in spite of them during boom times , not because of the managers running it . It's a giant bubble waiting to bust . Enron looked real good too , so did junk bonds !

I agree with the post above about spreading propaganda it a time when hundreds of our brothers and sisters are on the street some with over 20 years of service. Instead of making jokes about what is happening you all need to figure out a way to help them. Some of these people may loose the homes, vehicles or more and yet some come on here and make jokes. I have been in their shoes and it's not a fun time. If you think it can't happen to you think again. I would have never thought we would loose so many yesterday in out shop but it happened and yes it can happen to you. Think twice before you post!!

This would of made major headlines if it were true. The STB and all local politicians would of made front page news opposing such a sell out of the American rail system to foreign investors. Quit spreading propaganda in a time when our brothers and sisters need us the most
