HE has been for sale for awhile. This is old news.

Is it possible this has anything to do with the undeveloped land portion of HE that was in dispute awhile back? SHC was reluctant to turn it over, but the court ordered them to transfer it to Transformco. I would expect he would sell that off. The Forbes articles do read as if they were written by a grade school kid. Anxious to retell a story, but not very concerned with the accuracy or the details.

Forbes articles (and Business Insider articles as well) have to be read with a healthy dose of skepticism. There's a lot of sensationalism and clickbait on those sites. I'd keep my powder dry until someone like Crain's or the Tribune reports on it.

Nice post Warren! For those wondering Warren posts here regularly. Most of it wild and crazy rumors. He doesn’t work for Forbes but wants people to think he does, hates sears for reasons unknown. Staff has been cut at HE but it’s hardly a “skeleton crew”, drive by and take a look at the parking lot.

The 77 stores list was the list posted here. I’m pretty sure the HQ being sold was also from here or another board.
