Has anyone else read the news? The CN purchased a little over 200 miles of track from the CSX, that now links the CN to the New York area. At first I thought to myself it was no big deal. But then I started some research and found out some interesting details. The line the CN bought gives a hell of an opportunity to expand their intermodal business. I've read a few articles already about this, and this should be one hell of wake up call for the UP and other PSR class 1's. PSR doesn't allow for expansion or acquisition of tracks obviously. Unfortunately there's about 60 CSX workers that will be finding different work. This was a good move by the CN. If the other class 1's refuse the service, then someone else will take it. This sale puts the CN very close to the eastern trade ports. The UP better get their head out of there a–, wake up, and do something about their business. Or someone might be taking their business from them. Check it out people.

Hopefully cn will re-hire the csx employees...
Csx has sold off a lot of trackage including some they used to lease to various short lines.
I'm sure it's a part of some grand conspiracy by the evil international elites to rob the American Working Man of his identity, culture, and livelihood.
Smart move by them. Seems like a little move towards something big in the making. Wonder if they’re hiring.
