Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

My last shift

I am (was) a specialist helping in millwork, flooring and lumber. For the last time will this ego driven store manager talk down to me like I was a child.

I work at Lowes because I enjoy the job. I enjoy helping older customers that are not sure what to buy and feel like they are going to get screwed by asking for suggestions.

I retired from a large company two years ago and do not need this job except for the reasons above.

The SM whose claim to fame is he was a ASM for 19 years speaks to me and everyone else like a dog. I was supposed to work until close, but when Bryan decided to dress me down in front of a customer, I turned around and did exactly the same thing to him . He had it coming and the customer gave me a thumbs up especially when I threw the vest at the a– and told him to shove it.

The regional and market directors seem to love the managers bowing down. Then the store managers and asm expect the associates to bow down. I heard the words you should be glad you have a job more than a few times. I always laughed at them. When I quit they expected me to ask for a job back. Not me, I had a job paying double, almost immediately. Get out when you want, not when they want you to.
