APC was a bottom feeder which got swallowed up by a bigger bottom feeder! To those who weasel their way into a stable gig at OXY good luck with your new lord and masters

I hope the employees that are left still have the medical clinic,.... or did it close???
@8brx - I’m really sorry to hear that. I hope this works out well for you. I know some who were acquired who love apc. You are right, none of us are saints. There are good people, and there are those who are not. Some apc employees will be treated well by Oxy, and many will not and already are not being treated well. It just depends on which group you fall in and how those people treat others.
@10O5f0SL-2ys Is exactly right. APC isn’t up for sainthood like some people are making it out to be now. I became an a APC employee when they acquired my former company several years ago. The department I went into was horrible and treated us as outsiders. They were rude and arrogant and in many ways incompetent. So having been acquired a few times in my career - My expectations aren’t very high of the acquiring company.
Please be safe today. The entire building will be out the door by this afternoon and we need to make sure not everyone uses the same exit.
It’s unbelievable how everyone now thinks APC was this picture perfect company since acquired. It was corrupt, discriminated openly, and the most arrogant of the oil corps. When it acquired companies in the past - the APC staff were horrible to those people acquired. You reap what you sow. Unbelievable how people have forgotten those important and horrible things in retrospect.
Somebody’s bitter about life. Whatever is eating you up, let it go. It’s not worth your time and energy. I’m you’re better than that.
I'm counting on taking the package and running. I’d rather take my chances with a new gig than stick around and pick up the pieces after the dust settles.
